Expanding the Range: SIL’s Commitment to the Independent Aftermarket
In recent years, SIL has significantly expanded its product offering, investing heavily in research and development to meet the evolving needs of the global automotive market.
SIL, a brand of the Saleri Group, is a pioneer in the design and production of cooling systems for the automotive industry. With in-house production and a presence in over 65 international markets, SIL delivers premium-quality components tailored for aftermarket customers.
Building on its strong foundation in water pumps, the brand has introduced new product families, reaching a portfolio of over 2,100 part numbers.
Among the latest additions, more than 300 new codes have been launched, with a particular focus on electric water pumps to support the ongoing electrification of the global vehicle fleet. Of these, over 170 are dedicated to water pumps – ranging from main and auxiliary electric pumps to mechanical and variable types.
With these new codes, SIL now offers spare parts for over 87 million vehicles, enhancing a range that already covers more than 98% of the European and Asian car parc with its 1,240 available water pump references. This achievement reflects SIL’s ongoing investment in global market analysis and its deep OE expertise. SIL water pumps are OE-equivalent components, playing a crucial role in ensuring optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
The same OE-level expertise is applied to the development of timing belt kits, both with and without water pumps. SIL has added 84 new codes to a range that now includes over 750 references, covering more than 95% of the European and Asian car parc. Each kit includes one or more OE-manufacturer belts, tensioners of various types, and metal accessories where needed. Kits with water pumps also feature a premium-quality Saleri pump, offering a unique value in the aftermarket. These complete kits provide greater competitiveness, save time during repairs, and reduce application identification errors.
Completing SIL’s offering are the timing chain kits, a segment that has seen renewed interest from car makers in recent years. SIL is closely following this trend, investing in the expansion of this product line, which currently includes around 170 references, 35 of which were added in recent months, covering 90% of vehicles using this technology. Each kit includes chains, tensioners, guides, gears, and OE-quality accessories, offered in the most complete configuration possible to ensure durability and proper maintenance.
SIL is more than just a parts supplier: it is a strategic partner for distributors and workshops looking to stay ahead in a rapidly changing market. Backed by over 80 years of expertise, a solid OE foundation, and a deep understanding of next-generation vehicle requirements, SIL is ready to lead the way in electric thermal management.
